She has gone through all the men in her town and fines them lacking, she sees an ad for a mail order bride which seem exciting. When Deans brother tells him about the mail order bride program Dean laughs and said sure why not. His brother write for him, when a letter comes back they are both shocked to get a reply. Dean wasn’t even serious but his brother was. Dean is great at a lot of things but writing and telling about his feelings has never been one of his strong points. He agrees to let his brother write back to Tessa, of course he reads her replies and tells his brother what to write with his brother adding more in detail of things a woman might like to hear which will cause trouble down the road. Dean likes what he sees when he meets Tessa as times goes on he finds he is very attracted to her never guessing he would feel this way about another women. They write back and forward getting to know each other and agree to meet.
They have their ups and downs as they learn to talk, and deal with day to day issues. Most day’s things are more down than up leaving Dean confused as to just what Tessa wants or expects. She sure does know how to beat a dead horse.

My heart really went out to both Madelyn and Seth both are
about as broken as a person can get. Maddy is attacked by a trusted friend and
Seth fell and broke his leg as it turns from bad to worse not knowing if he
will even be able to keep it much less walk or ride again. The family set about
match making getting these two together both writing back and forth they get to
know each other. Things really takes off when Seth goes and stays with Maddy’s
family why he gets his leg taken care of. The story doesn’t end there, their
love grows but things get in their way and it is a pretty rocky road for a
time. It is a story of pain, sorrow, love, needs, wants, and compassion.

I am not sure I would call this was a mail order bride story
since the two met once at the sisters wedding and wrote to each other keeping
in touch. They kept me smiling and laughing at these two get on each other’s
nerves trying to get the best of the other. With the conflict between daughter
and father Claire decides to move out west with her sister. She is tried
of not being good enough like a son would be. Things happen that will help them
both if they marry. Claire has always loved Marcus, but he isn’t too crazy
about her. Their back and forwards mail is truly entertaining and will have you
laughing.
J. Scott Bennett did a wonderful job of narration he put feeling into the audio. His voice is very powerful, clear and pleasant to listen to. There are no background noises or any volume changes His tones are very even he never leaves you guessing how the character feels. He gives you a very clear rich audio that you do not want to put down. The male voices are as pleasant as his female voices. You never have any trouble knowing who is talking or just what is on their mind. He uses the correct tones with each character just as I pictured them to be. He chuckles when he needs to or shows sorrow through his voice. I really enjoyed his voice and could listen to it all day with no problem. Mr. Bennett has become one of my favorite narrators I know when I see his name I am going to be taken away and truly enjoy the listen.
The author gives you a delightful set of stories that keeps your attention why she pulls you in with a few shocks along the way. The plot is great as the author brings the west of long ago to life giving you a story of so much pain, misunderstanding, sorrow and so much love. I loved the twist and turns she brings keeping you guessing at some things and other times you know just where she is going. It is a believable story that I bought into from the start. The characters are great, fun, caring and loving. I am really enjoying this series each one better than the last as I get to know each character better. All the ones you loved in the first books are back in this set, it was great to see them again, seeing how they have grown and the changes they have made. I can’t wait to see what the next story holds for me.

Summary
The first three novels in the series that critics describe as "a
wonderful blend of hope, passion, romance, and humor." Westward Winds
Tessa O'Connor lives in a world of privilege and excess. Her doting parents want her to make a good match with a worthy gentleman and live a respectable life. She is beautiful and intelligent and she comes with a hefty dowry. There is no reason that she shouldn't be able to find an eligible man and settle down.
Tessa gets married to Dean and they struggle to find common ground and make their marriage work. Will they each take the risk and open their hearts to one another? Can their marriage survive, and will they find love and contentment in each other?
Westward Dance
Madelyn O'Connor is beautiful, popular, and comfortable with her opulent life. That is until she is brutally attacked by the son of one of the wealthiest families in Pittsburgh. Her parents are ready to fight the case out in the courts, but Madelyn doesn't want any publicity about it. She wants to forget that it ever happened, but can't.
Seth Samuels, Tessa's brother-in-law, becomes injured when he and his men are attacked by wild dogs on a cattle drive. He's morose and anxious over the prospect of not being able to participate in drives any longer. Tessa sees two people she loves hurting and thinks that maybe they can help each other when no one else can. She appeals to Seth to help convince Madelyn to come west. Seth refuses at first, but then figures that since he can't do much else, he might as well try to help.
Westward Bound
Claire O'Connor is the youngest of the three O'Connor sisters. Unlike her older siblings, Claire doesn't have great skills in social niceties. Even though she tries to fit in, Claire will never be popular in the elite world in which she was born. Claire would much rather be in school or learning business strategy from her father than do anything else. When she travels to Montana for her sister Maddie's wedding to Seth Samuels, she meets the youngest Samuels brother, Marcus.
She's attracted to his dark good looks and flashing gray eyes, but knows he thinks of her as an annoying kid who happens to be extremely intelligent. During the time she spends in Montana, she and Marcus develop an antagonistic relationship, which Claire purposely fosters to hide her crush on him. She dreams of snaring Marcus' heart one day, and begins her secret mission as soon as she arrives back in Pittsburgh.
