My Review
I thought this was an interesting book some of the
information I already knew. It was great to listen to the ones I had not. I
found the author did his background on the stories writing the truth on each
criminal giving the facts as they happened.
I found Jack Chekijian as the narrator to have done a great
job. He has a strong deep voice which adds to this type of read. He has a voice
that is easy to listen to as he lays the facts out giving this an interesting listen.
There are no background noises just a very clean clear audio. There are no
character voices but that does not take away from the audio at all. I feel his
voice goes very well with this genre giving the correct tones and passion to
the read. It is never easy to take these terrible crimes and read them but Mr.
Chekijian does and outstanding job making the read feel the emotions and
understanding just how these people are and the terrible things they have done.
This is the first time I have listen to anything by this narrator. I do look
forward to listening to more of his audios.
If you are looking for the fact of a Serial killer you will
find them in this book. Their time of Death Row is always longer than it should
be. Sometimes they go from death row to life in prison. Is this right you will
have to decide. It is also interesting to see what type of death they pick,
sometimes they aren’t given a choice. They most always want to live never
seeing what they did as wrong. They will fight to the end to stay alive not
caring that they didn’t do the same for their victims. I have always been
interested in this genre the human mind is something else. I can never
understand why they do what they do. Some say there is something wrong with the
mind it isn’t normal. One lady did send the brain off but it came back as a
normal one. The question is still there why and what makes these people do what
they do. Do you blame it on the background, what they had to deal with growing
up, or is it in their nature, are they missing something most of us have. I am
sure if you are into serial killers like I sure there will be some you will
already know and others in this book you will get to meet.
