Rocky Mountain Home

Rocky Mountain Home (Roberts of Silver Springs #7)
by Cassie Hayes

There is nothing worse than loving from afar and not having that love returned. Zach has loved Michaela (Mike) since they were in grade school. Everyone in town thinks he is a great guy even her family loves him. She loves him to but more as a brother. Funny thing about being childhood friends you grow up being best buds never seeing what is before your eyes. Mike has a chance of a lifetime Zach tells her to go for it. Holding on to a promise made by a young girl he pretty much puts his life on hold for 10 years. He goes through the motions even dating but no one holds a candle to his Mike.

When Mike finally returns for good things don’t go the way Zach had thought they would. He finally faces facts that his true love with never be his. You know the saying you don’t know what you lost until it is gone well Mike is about to get a face full of it. It was fun watching these two dance around each other. It was heartbreaking when Zach decides it is best he moves on. The box of shoes is very interesting and eye opening. I thought his anger was a little too much but such is life.

What a delightfully cute clean read that holds your attention why these two work out their issues. I just love small towns as long as I do not have to live in them. Again we see how they work everyone knowing everyone’s business. The author writes in such a way that it is really cute and just adorable how everyone knows Zach’s feeling that is all but Mike. I liked how she finds out but I do have to wonder if her brother didn’t know more than he was letting on. The brother never followed through with the shoes which I thought was a little off but it sure made some interesting reading.

I really liked all the characters there isn’t one in this small down I didn’t enjoy. Mikes family is just amazing, sweet, kind and for the most part stays out of their kid’s relationships. I really loved how shocked Mike was as things unfold. I was captivate from the start the author had no problem keeping my attention and holding it. The plot is a delight, it is well written with interesting characters.
If you are looking for a heartwarming, delightful romance that makes you chuckle with a few surprises that keeps you invest and makes you laugh why at times giving you a shock this is the one for you.
