Kissing Mr. Mistletoe: Christmas in Napa (Holiday in the Vineyard Novella #1)
by Kate Kisset
As with the first book this author wrote this was a
delightful fun read. There are so pretty funny scenes here that will make you
laugh out loud. I love second chance love going back to the one that got away
is so exciting.
Years ago Trace took off to start his country music career
leaving behind the only women he ever loved. He must come back home to settle
his uncles estate and face the one that got away. Monique has moved on but has
never forgotten the one man she truly loved but married another she hoped would
make her dreams come true. What she found is herself alone with a young child
and her dream all up in smoke. When Trace asked her to go with him many years
ago she said no she didn’t want to leave her family but more she was afraid she
would get lost as he takes over the world and his fans. Now years later she still
feels the same but she has to wonder what if….
The author gives you a well written story that makes you
laugh and keeps you entertained. I really loved all these characters as they
take you through their past and the here and now. It was nice to visit with some from the first
book seeing how they are doing. The author fills you in on the important things
never leaving you hanging or guessing. You are going to fall in love with Monique
little girl she is just a darling little things. What is they say little
pitches hear and see more than they should. Lol
Trace is such a caring man strong, giving I just adore him.
He wants answers to why she wouldn’t go with him and why she married who she
did. This time he isn’t going to walk away but find things are not always such
cut and dry. Monique I could relate to with her fear they are so real in a day
and age when country music stars change partner so fast. She has proven she can
stand on her own but sometimes you need a helping hand as she will find out.
I thought this was well written with a very believable plot
that hooks you from the first page. I enjoyed the chemistry and the humor Trace
and Monique have. I really loved how Trace pulled in Monique daughter making
her very much a part of it all. Monique grandmother was a dear she even made me
smile. This is just so full of heartbreak just when you think things might work
out you wonder if they ever will. I have to admit this one pulled a tear from
my eye. Poor Trace my heart really went out to him. If you are looking for a
new author how about giving this one a try she is full of surprises as she
pulls you in giving you a read you are very invested in.

Summary
You are cordially invited to spend your HOLIDAYS IN THE
VINEYARD
Kissing Mr. Mistletoe is the first novella in a brand new series from Kate Kisset:
Ever since his last remaining relative died, Country music star Trace Montgomery has avoided California, specifically his home town, Napa Valley. Trace can’t stand the memories. But seven days before the holiday, he’s forced to return to wine country to sell the St. Helena Christmas tree farm he inherited from his uncle. With his sidekick guitar Lola nearby, a past love, the one that got away, falls into his arms while trying to turn a vineyard bunny sculpture into a reindeer. Now, Trace can't stop thinking about her. He's making up naughty lyrics to Christmas songs.
Single mom, Monique Jacobson doesn’t have time for a bath, never mind a romance. She’s working hard to secure a promotion and pay raise from Santino Winery that will allow her and her daughter to move out of Nana’s little B&B.
St. Helena and Napa Valley hotels are booked for the holiday, and Monique finds Trace hold up with her and her daughter at her gran's Napa B&B for a Christmas in wine country. Will they rediscover the love they lost and rekindle Christmas magic under the mistletoe?
Special note to fans of Kate Kisset’s (Single Girls Wine Club) Napa Vineyard romance series: The ladies of Bella Villa and Napa Valley’s Santino brothers return early 2017 in the second book of the Napa Vineyard series, Napa Crush.
*Kissing Mr. Mistletoe is a standalone read. Although you may recognize some of the names, this Christmas gem features its own cast of loveable and sexy characters.
