Valentine's Rose

Valentine's Rose

by E.E. Burke

My Review
What a wonderful beginning to a 7 part series I cannot wait for the rest of them. This was a very entertaining read where the author mixes history with her stories to give a wonderful plot that is a page turner. The railroad is desperate to calm down the men in this wild new town they come up with an idea of bring brides to give to the men who buy land from the railroad. in They are hoping to calm and smooth the men so they stop tearing the town down and fighting among themselves.. When the women get there they find wild men who do not know how to behave along with a land agent who thinks he is a match marker. The woman are applauded that he is going to match them up by drawing name out of a hat.  These men have a lot to learn about women before they can even think about marriage.

The first up is Rose who has lost everything all her family is dead she has no choice but to make a way for herself. She decided the best thing for her is to be a mail order bride. When her eyes meet Val she knows there is no hope he would want someone like her. Valentine is taken back by the pretty women with the lovely green eyes. He isn’t looking for a woman just wants to sell the land he won in a game. When he finds out he must marry before he gets the land he sets on a marriage of convenience. He plans is to give her enough money to start over when he goes home leaving her behind. First he has to get over his blood boiling and his passion risen every time she is around. Rose has other ideas she will take lessons of being a lady and win him over.

I have so enjoyed this read as the author puts some twist and turns along with a little danger into the Wild West to bring you a wonderful entertaining read. Rose will take you heart with her sweet ways as you learn her story you reach out to her and her pain. Val has a story of his own he just wants to do right and make his family proud. Some things are to be learned other will never be as they start their journey to find a place to feel whole.

I loved this characters they are people I can relate to. I believe there is a little of them in all of us.  There is passion at of the finest as these two dances around their feelings.  The chemistry between them is sweet the sparks fly when they touch leaving them both in a state of awww. This is a wonderful heartwarming sweet clean read that will reach in and touch you.  There is a little bit of everything that makes it a wonderful romance. You will be touch by all the wonderful characters you will see again and again in other books along with the bad men who bring danger.

E.E.  Burke knows how to weave in just enough romance and passion with a little suspense to keep her readers entertained.  Here characters will touch your heart as they overcame personal obstacles and become heroes in your eyes. She gives you strong upstanding characters and towns you would love to live in. I recommend any of her books you won’t be disappointed. There isn’t a better way to find a new author than a new series. I hope you will pick up Valentine’s Rose and be taken back in history to when the world was wild, men were of honor and women were strong tough ladies.
