True Blue SEALs: Zak

True Blue SEALs: Zak (SEAL Brotherhood Series)
by Sharon Hamilton

 My Review
This book is full of pain, sorrow and reality of a group of seals and those they love that have to deal with deployment, danger, death and loss of so much. Ms. Hamilton gives a power story with a wonderful plot of such love and pain you can see it through your eyes what each character goes through. Zack plans to marry Amy but first he wants her to have the full effect of being married to a Seal and what that means. He doesn’t want her to be sorry later and realize this just isn’t for her. They marry before he deploys having a few wonderful nights together. Once deployed things do not go as planned and he comes home a broken piece of a man. Amy tries are to keep it together as Zack falls apart living their lives in turmoil they are walking a very thin line. Can these two who have loved each other for so long rebuild what they once had or will pain and sorrow take away the thing they want the most.

This was a very touching read which is very close to real life as you are going to get without living it yourself. Ms. Hamilton gives you characters you can relate to with a wonderful plot you can tell she put a lot of time and thought into.  This is one story that will reach in and pull on your heartstrings. You might need a few tissues as you read their story and the love that is so strong that it can get you through anything. This is one author that knows how to pull her readers in leaving you with heart pumping as Zack deals with issues we wouldn’t even dream of. She puts thrills, excitement and danger in her stories that will keep you turning the pages. I found I could not put this book down.

I have not read the book before this one about Amy and Zack and all they went through being childhood sweethearts it would have been nice to have read a little history. In no way does that take away from this it can be read as a standalone.  I can’t say I was thrilled with the ending but it does set it up for the next book in the series. I would have liked to have known just how their lives changed and how they are doing say in a few years from now.

What I really enjoyed in this wonderful read is the chemistry not only with Amy and Zack but with the Seal and all the wives. It is one for all and all for one never leaving anyone behind always being there to help the other out.  I have to honestly say this is one book that has touched me even after the book is finished this is one story that will stay with me. The author paints a very vivid picture that you have no trouble seeing even with your eyes closed. I found this to be a highly entertaining blood pumping read.
