La Vie en Rose {Life in Pink}

La Vie en Rose {Life in Pink}
by Lydia Michaels

My Review
I thought this book was funny and at times I laughed out loud. I thought it was dearing how Riley pulled Emma out of her down times making her smile and laugh.  You have a story inside a story from Emma’s ex to Riley family issues along with his sister’s secret. Riley is really like no man you have ever met at times he is childlike which makes him even more darling at times maybe not so much. This is a pretty powerful story about real life issues that a lot of us deal with today. Emma is a strong woman to have stood up when life could have been easier to have pitied herself. She has some very tough choices and then must face the fall out as her body and mind changes. Riley is what every women dreams of in a man always standing by your women even through the tough times. I myself am a very lucky women when dealing with issues of this nature I have a Riley in my life which I am very thankful for.

The author writes a very touching story that will grab your heart adding humor to keep you laughing through the tough times. This was very well written you can feel each emotion of each character and all they are going through. Life is tough when facing these issues you must decide whether to fight or lie down and die. This is every woman’s worse nightmare come true. Not only must she fight her body but his parents as well. I totally loved where his sister shock them leaving them speechless.

The author put a lot of time and thought into this story giving you a very entertaining read one that will bring you down and lift you up at the same time. The characters are very likeable each one fighting their own issues. They pull together as a team supporting Emma they are her biggest cheerleaders. There is no doubt this story will reach you and touch you in so many ways. These are real life people you can relate to as they go through the trials and come out the winner. It is really a hard book to put down I doubt you could read it and not have it you touch you as you rethink your life. I really enjoy this read along with the writing style of this author getting right to the heart as she tears yours out but giving you hope for a better tomorrow.

Overview
Emma Sanders has always dreamt of being a bride, wearing fancy gowns, pretty pearls, and—of course—falling madly in love. Then life happened. Finding herself one fiancĂ© short of her happily ever after, she leaves the fairytales behind. Some days are simply too perilous for pink gowns and pearls.

Riley Lockhart is the sort of man who can make a woman lower her gaze with only a smile. That he doesn’t realize his charm makes him all the more enchanting. Determined to save Emma the pain of her breakup, he steps in as a friend, but soon finds himself wanting more.

She was just a girl, but she somehow winds up being the strongest woman he’s ever known. Losing her is not an option and when life can’t be tied neatly in a pretty little bow, he holds tight to all that he loves—his Emma. His hero.

Sometimes the greatest scars are worn on the inside.
