Lone Star Nights:

Lone Star Nights: Cowboy Trouble Bonus (The McCord Brothers #2)
by Delores Fossen

 My Review
I fell in love with this author from the first book I picked up of hers nothing has changed she is still writing the best books with wonderful touching plots which pull you in making you smile, laugh and at times gives you watery eyes. There is such passion in her writing with wonderful characters you can relate to. I just adore Dixie Mae with her hard core attitude but has a heart of gold she keeps well hidden.  She is one smart who will leave you laughing all the way to the end where you will find a big surprised that will make you laugh out loud for a while.

Lucky’s past has haunted him for years it is one of the reason he does what he does. He is kind of a standalone character with a love them and leave them attitude. Everyone in his family has their place with him feeling lost and sometimes alone. Dixie Mae has always been a type of mother to him, maybe a little rough around the edges but a mother type the same. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for her. Her last request has him cursing all the way but he will do as she ask, doesn’t mean he will like it or not try to find a way out of it.

Cassie is running away from her own reasons life isn’t all flowers for her. With things out of her control that has her second guessing her actions along with a father who never was one she looks to Dixie Mae for the love she never had from him. There isn’t anything she wouldn’t do for this women when her last request is placed before her she is shocked and using the F-word more than she should which is very cute with little ones around she tries her best to clean up the language which with Lucky might take some doing.

Both Lucky and Cassie are attracted to each other Cassie just never gave in she won’t be another notch on his bed post. Dixie Mae may know more than she ever let on with two children they will have to take care of. Neither are parent material and do not have the first clue since they can’t even take care of themselves.  I really love the way the pull and tug goes on with them. The children are just darling even the older one will steal your heart as it breaks for them and all they have to deal with.  The author gives you a strong understanding of a child who is trying to find her way and going about it the wrong way. This is very emotional but at the same time very down to earth leaving you smiling at the same time pulling on her heart.

This author will pull on your heartstrings as she gives you a read you won’t be able to put down. There are times when you will say please no and other times where you will be cheering with an ending you will adore leaving you wanting more. I can hardly wait for the next book in this series.  This is a standalone you don’t need to read the first book but I am sure you will want to as it is full of fun and laughter as well as heartbreak. This is a very well blended story that will hook you with true romance with a twist.

Summary
No  strings attached is pretty much Lucky McCord's calling card in Spring Hill, Texas, but when family is on the line, this cowboy's honor and heart are about to get lassoed, tied and branded

Every family needs its black sheep, and Austin "Lucky" McCord is happy to oblige. The bad-boy bull rider lives fast and loose, until his business partner leaves him an unexpected bequest. Suddenly Lucky is sharing custody of two children with Cassie Weatherall, one of the few homegrown women he hasn't bedded. And not from lack of trying…

Cassie fled her messy past to become a celebrity therapist in LA. So why does it feel so right to come back and share parenting duties—and chrome-melting kisses—with a man she's striven to avoid? Loving Lucky always seemed like a sure bet for heartache. But for this perfectly imperfect family, Cassie might just gamble with everything she's got.
