The Best For Last (Whispering Bay romance, #4)
by Maria Geraci
My Review
What a sweet wonderful read about a small town who knows every ones business as they get right in the middle making it their business. You will find love, laughter, some hot passion, romance that will melt your heart along with wonderful characters that knows everyone and everything in this delightful town.
Steve just stole my heart with his wonderful sweet ways. He has been dating Kitty for almost a year. He has three marriages behind him and sure isn't looking for a fourth, three stripes and you are out. He is perfectly happy with things the way they are living with his dream girl. The town doesn't see it this way as they put their nose in the middle. He doesn't understand why everyone is treating him different. If that isn't enough the ex has to put her two cents into the mix which has him spinning out of control. The pressure is on and he sure doesn't want to mess up but looks like he can't keep his foot out of his mouth. Things aren't looking good for him. He is about to lose the best women he has ever had if he doesn't move fast and fix the mess he has made.
Kitty is just a sweet down to earth girl that everyone loves that is everyone but Steve. He has never said the words even with months behind them she is torn. She wants a family, children and a loving husband to grow old with. Everything is going along great until the town sticks their noses in to her love life. To top that off her father is about to say I do which leaves her wondering about the man she loves and what is wrong with her. If that isn't bad enough now Steve is acting strange. Is this the end for them?
I loved these characters they kept me chuckling as they drive poor Kitty nuts. Steve is left wondering if aliens have taken over their body. Betty Jean is a trip that will keep you laughing. This book is full of wonderful delightful characters that you will come to love. I had to laugh at Steve a time or two at the mess he makes and tries so hard to get out of. He does make a stand at the end which will melt your heart. I don't think I would have wanted it to go that way if I was Kitty but men are men and love to make fools out of themselves. This is a 5 star read that will keep you flipping those pages to see the mess these people make as you laugh your way through this lovely sweet read.
This is the first book I have read by this author it sure will not be the last. I love her style of writing and her sense of humor. I now want to go back and read the other books in this series to get to know more about this town and its lovely characters. I recommend you take the time to give this wonderful short read a try. I think you will find it as delightful as I have.

Book Description

Kitty Burke’s biological clock isn’t just ticking, it’s gonging. But who wants to be tied down by marriage and a minivan when you have an amazingly sexy boyfriend who worships the ground you walk on? Sure, Steve has never said those three magic words. But, Kitty knows he loves her. Some guys just have a hard time expressing their feelings, right? Right.
After three failed marriages, Steve Pappas is in no hurry to walk down the aisle a fourth time. As a matter of fact, he has no desire to ever say “I do” again. He’s a successful self-made millionaire, but despite the best of intentions, marriage is one arena he’s been unable to conquer. Kitty is funny, sexy, and whip smart—everything Steve has ever wanted in a woman and more. Their life is perfect the way it is now. So why rock the boat and ruin everything with a piece of paper that doesn’t mean anything?
When Kitty’s aging playboy father unexpectedly decides to tie the knot, Kitty realizes she’s been fooling herself. She does want it all—marriage, kids, but most especially, a man who isn’t afraid to openly declare his feelings. Can she convince her commitment-phobic boyfriend to take the ultimate chance? Or will she be forced to settle for Happy For Now instead of Happily Ever After?

When You Return to Me: A Broslin Creek short story (Broslin Creek #6.5)
by Dana Marton
My Review
One solider who went away to war and never returned. One girl who never gave up and will go to her grave loving her soldier. This is a very touching heartwarming read that will not only make you a believer in romance but in miracles. I love the whole Broslin Creek series with this new short but sweet addition is just another wonderful story to add to this series. It is sure to touch your heart and bring a smile to your face. It proves that love never dies even after so many years.
Ms. Marton never lets you down when it comes to excitement. love and romance. She gives you a touching read that stays with you. This might be short and sweet but it holds a powerful message of love and lost. A war, years, time or death cannot kill the love between these two characters. I love the fact that the author touched on some of the things that had happen in her other books. She leaves nothing out and no guessing as to what is happening. Just a wonderful touching fun read.

My Review
Book starts out a little slow but does pick up. It is a cute read with lots of heartache. It has a lot of drama that each character has to overcome. You are left wondering about the characters and their issues even when you have finished the book. The author leaves you with tons of things to think about and builds up for the next book in the series.
I am not much for this type of drama but is was an okay read.
This book has not been released yet

Falling Hard (Falling Fast #2)
by Tina Wainscott
My Review
This was a slow start for me but once it took off it took off and I couldn't put the book down. The author gives a powerful story of never giving up and always going for what you want. Life is to short you need to fight for what is important as Pax did he was a true man of honor even when he may lose his family he believed the fight was worth it and give his all. No means No, no matter when, where or what it is NO. The author gives a wonderful heart breaking story of misunderstanding, angry, one man taking something he shouldn't have, peer pressure along with family pressure. We all make bad choices that change our lives sometimes we can make them right but you can never outrun them. Gemma had to come home to face those choices she made years ago that set a whole town against her. As she faces them she must also face the one man that held her attention through it all the bad boy along with his brother who raped her. As the author said sometimes faith has a mind of her own.
Pax is a stand up guy who is honorable he might have been the bad boy in school. He was just trying to fit in and find his way with a family he could never do anything right for. One day he gave up and did things his way. When Gemma returns to town he is taken back by the attraction they still have. He is pulled in two different directions and not sure which one is the right one. Once he puts all the pieces together he is in for a fight of his life to keep the women he loves, the sister he adores and to try to find peace with his family. It is up to him to set a wrong right which he will do if it is the last thing he does. In doing so he might lose the girl along with his family...
For Gemma the hardest thing is facing ones mistakes and past. All the whispers, the name calling, the hate talk, it is hard but she will make a stand for her father. The hardest part is having to face her attacker knowing he got away with rape. She must find a way to deal with it, help her father and face the man who held her heart way back when and then get the heck out of there before more damage can be done to her. Gemma story is a very touching read, she must learn to trust, love and be held when it is the last things she wants.
I found this to be a very powerful read with so many losers in the game of life. Gemma doesn't trust anyone, she has no friends, she doesn't fit anywhere. She doesn't believe in herself and like so many women before her dresses down in big bag clothes not to draw attention to her. The attraction is as strong as it was the day they met now both Gemma and Pax will have to fight it, or give in. The author gives you a story inside a story about his little sister and how they deal with her issues. A very wonderful girl who everyone but Pax doesn't want to let her grow up. I won't tell you more or it will give it away. This was really a very touching read in more than one way. It is a story that will stick with me long after I have put the book down. It is a story I will reread again. It is a wonderful story of second chances but is so much more. It is about bravery, taking a stand, getting your life back and fighting the fight of truth. It is truly a wonderful romance of starting over and overcoming your past.
Ms. Wainscott tells a wonderful story that will break your heart and you keep hoping they take down one man and hopefully his father. There are many secretes that have been hidden over the years along with a few new ones. This is an author you will want to come to know who will pull you in and take you way. When you close this book you will leave with a smile on your face leaving characters you wish you knew better. I really enjoyed this story and I hope you will to.

Book Description
In bestselling author Tina Wainscott’s gritty, emotional small-town romance—perfect for fans of Jasinda Wilder and Colleen Hoover—passions run high as a reformed bad boy reconnects with an old enemy . . . and gets her engine revving.
There’s no one Pax Sullivan wants to run into less than Gemma Thornton. Back in high school, she revved his heart more than street racing. But she picked his clean-cut brother over him—only to accuse Blake of an unforgivable crime. Eventually the charges were dropped and Gemma left town, but the hard feelings lingered . . . along with Pax’s gnawing “what-ifs.” Seven years later, just as he quits the police force to open a racetrack, Gemma’s back—and their chemistry is more combustible than ever.
If it were up to her, Gemma would never lay eyes on another Sullivan. She hates them, and they hate her—even Pax, who just so happens to be fixing up her father’s B&B. But the more time she spends with the lean, hard-bodied ex-cop at the inn and on the track, the more Gemma sees that Pax is nothing like his brother. Despite their anguished history, she’s tempted to take their relationship into high gear . . . if she can face the past and risk her heart.

This was a story I had trouble putting down as these characters weave a place in your heart you are not sure who to cheer for. Knowing only one man can winner her heart as your heart breaks for the loser. Both men are very likable, caring men who built their life on honor. It does seem they might not be as honest as they would like us to believe. Come take a journey back in time to 1833 where there are outlaws, trains and love. Book Description
Two sweethearts find their new love put to the test in Book Four of USA Today bestselling author Caroline Fyffe's Prairie Hearts series.
Wyoming Territory, April 1883
After a disastrous marriage, Sheriff Albert Preston never expects to fall in love again…until a feisty, take-charge young woman sneaks past his defenses. Now, he’d like nothing more than to make Susanna Robinson his wife. But when a train crashes just outside of town, the secrets it carries threaten to derail his plans for a happy future.
Susanna Robinson adores everything about her new hometown of Logan Meadows. She loves her job at the cafĂ©, the beauty of the night sky over Wyoming, and the handsome lawman by her side. But after learning a hard lesson about fickle hearts from her mother’s bad example, she doubts she can commit to Albert. And when Albert’s shocking secret comes to light, all her fears are confirmed. Will his steadfast, tender heart and gallant ways be enough to rebuild her trust in him?

My Review
The was a good story for a short story I would have liked to have seen more. It was nice to see the main characters get their HAE I enjoyed it but was lacking something. I can't put my finger on it. It might have been that I would have liked a longer story this was kind of short sweet and to the point. On stories this short there isn't to much you can say without giving the book away. Pick it up and give it a try it gives you some insight you might not have gotten. I give this a 3.5. I didn't care for it as much as I did the first one I read but it was a nice stead read.
The narrator does a great job her voice is smooth and full of emotion. There are no breaks that you can tell. She does a great job on the different character voices. I enjoyed listening to her very much. There is no background noise just a sweet accent that I thought was adorable.
The author does give you great characters that you can relate to. There is a lot of emotion that pulls at you. I say pick it up an give it a try and see what you think.

My Review
This was an ok listen nothing that really grabbed me. I really didn't care for the sleeping around and drinking with a student. That was a turn off for me yes he was in college but still you just do not do that. The book has some good points but for me the author just didn't draw me in. The narrator I didn't care for at all I didn't like her voice it wasn't smooth and at times it sounded like she was reading. Not everyone can like everything so please do not take my word for it. So many people have totally in enjoy the book and the audio. I do think I will go back at a later date and read to see if that makes a difference.
The characters were likable and it was at times a sweet story. For me the adults seem to come off more as teenagers again it could be the narration and not the story. Give it a try and see what you think.

Books Description
When life breaks you, love can heal you…or run you over.
A broken heart and a preference for solitude leads Web Baker to driving a street sweeper on the night shift for Basil City. His mother wants grandchildren, and his sister is intent on fixing him up with every dimwitted beauty she can find. Add that to the late night antics Web encounters on his nightly shifts and he has more than enough excitement to keep him on his toes, but nothing could prepare him for the woman who stumbles into his sweeper’s headlights.
Kara Deleray has never learned how to be herself, leading to a lifetime of bad decisions. She hits rock bottom and ends up moving in with her best friend and her husband. With their help, she manages to land a job teaching English at Basil State University. Finally pulling her life together, a whiskey soaked night almost tears everything she’s worked for apart.
About the author
Kayla writes general and women's fiction, as well as chick lit novels and novellas. Her mission is to give her readers an escape, from a chronically busy, overwhelmed world offering them the opportunity to settle in and discover someplace new, maybe crack a smile, and find a little romance.
She's been a storyteller all her life. Before she knew how to write, she told stories to a jump rope. Thankfully that stage ended once she learned how to work a pencil. Now she's blessed to be able to write full time and looks forward to sharing her crazy ideas with readers.
Always a romantic, Kayla managed to marry her high school sweetheart. They have a very bright, active nine-year-old daughter.
When not writing or being mom, Kayla can most likely be found in a cozy spot with a good book. Reading, sunshine, and hanging out with family and friends bring her joy.
