Jolie: A Valentine's Day Bride

Jolie: A Valentine's Day Bride (Brides of Noelle: Love For All Seasons #2)
by E.E. Burke
 Jolie: A Valentine's Day Bride

As we all know we make decisions whether good or bad that leads to things getting out of our control turning a page we might not want to turn leading us to go down a road that we are unhappy with but have little choice. Here is a story that reminds us romance is for everyone even a soiled dove can find happiness. It is a very touching read with humor, sorrow, pain, full of emotions, romance at its fineness. I totally loved this story two people broken finding each other and turn their fears into a lovely romance that will bring a tear to your eye.

Humans are funny people when they lose part of their body, their hopes and dreams they think they aren’t good enough, no one will want them. They only see what they want not what they are, truly a wonderful person that the loss makes no less of. The author shows touching true emotions of two people who lost much but still find they are not worthy not only in body but in soul. Jolie and Hank’s story will break your heart I just wanted to cry when I read it. The author has a way of twisting your heart and then making you smile as she lays out the plot to some fun reading that will make you angry but at the same time make you smile as the town’s people turn against them only to have egg on their face.

I just love this town and its people, they are a handful as they pull pranks, tease and joke. The characters are amazing as normal people turn into heroes. There were times when my heart was in my throat at the danger that could have killed so many. Other times I was so angry at the miners who should have known better, there were nothing more than bullies, that got put in their place which will make you smile. For the most part the towns people are a delight that you will come to love, I so enjoyed seeing some from the past series that really touched me and stole my heart. It was great to see knew one and get to know them. One little wild town that they are trying too hard to settle and calm down, with wonderful mail order brides to delightful cowboys and miners who just want someone to call their own. This story is a big win for me it has just about everything you could ask for sorrow, trust issues, starting over, finding one’s self, humor, danger, a delightful big dog that I wish I could have and so much love. I doubt you can read this without it touching you in some way. I laughed, smiled and wanted to cry. This author held me in the palm of her hand as she twisted my heart right around her finger. There was nothing I didn’t love about this story, I loved it so much I picked it as one of my favorite reads for the year.

Ophelia: A Valentine's Day Bride

Ophelia: A Valentine's Day Bride (Brides of Noelle: Love For All Seasons #1)
by Kit Morgan

What a great story on things are not always as they seem. Only believe half of what you see with your own eyes and nothing in print. For Clint who is in town looking it over for a business he can’t seem to keep his foot out of his mouth. You know the saying about assuming (lets clean it up) it makes a fool out of you and me both. In Clint’s case he does look like a fool when he assumes the worth not only about a lovely lady but the whole dang town. I truly laughed my head off at all that he came up with and it does seem the town is having a good laugh. You are in for a real treat as the only single women left in town is starting over grabs the attention of the new business man in town. Only things aren’t that easy when everything points to not all the town people are on the up and up.

Ophelia and Clint start out great then misunderstandings lead to confusion on both parts. As always this series has wonderful characters you can relate to, a little sorrow and so many smiles and laughs for the reader. I loved how they met it was so easy, smooth and exciting. I had no trouble picturing it in my mind and just about swoon with a big smile on my face. From there things just go downhill for these two who pretty much fell in love when they set their eyes on each other.  Both are wonderful people who I fell so in love with as well as the town and its people. It was so nice to see those from the past books and meet new ones.

There are very few pages that I didn’t smile on laugh at as poor Clint makes a big fool out of his self over many things. I loved the humor, the busy bodies and the preacher is just a darling. There was a little more filler than I like but it was well worth the read. I truly got lost in this story and read it at one setting. As the town starts to fill up you have some very talented authors tell you a wonderful story of all new people. There isn’t one story you will want to miss in this series. I was so glad the continued it only adding this delight Valentine’s part to the mail order brides. Come take a journey back in time when the west was still wild as the bring the brides in to calm not only the town down but the wild men as they claim the women who will turn their world upside down.

Summary
Clint Jones came to Noelle for one purpose and one purpose only. Get in, assess the town, and get out. Then he'd report to his superiors at Wells Fargo and Company to let them know if Noelle was respectable and prosperous enough to open a branch there. But what Clint found was anything but respectable! Toss in a violet-eyed beauty that takes his breath away, a mayor and a preacher he thinks are consorting with the worst sorts of evil, and the fun begins. Enjoy this hilarious romp as only Kit Morgan can deliver. Sweet, clean and wholesome romance at its very best!

Heart of Eden

Heart of Eden (Colorado Hearts #1)
by Caroline Fyffe

I just love new series a fresh start with new characters that you get to know and most of the time come to love. I really loved the map that is included that if you want to go back and see the lay of the land you can. I enjoyed the opening which gives you a little back ground and you get to get a feel of each character. Not all is as it seems there has been some lies told along the way that made the characters lose year of knowing a kind man. It is too late for them but is it too late for the children to learn and grow, find love and overcome a hurtful past. As we take the journey with these five daughters we see heart break, pain and sorrow of a love they will never know and all they will find and have to deal with along the way.

Blake’s life hasn’t always been good when he came to work for John he got way more than a job but a man to look up to. A man who has honor, kindness and helpful giving way more of his self than is expected to a foremen.  His feelings for the five girls are not the kindest how could they stay away from a man that was just a kind sweet man. Now that that their father has died they are on the way to see what is left for them in the will. He just shakes his head how is he going to deal with this mess and all the problems they will bring.  Blake is a strong man who takes care of those he cares about, he isn’t afraid to call a spade a spade and has no trouble laying it all out telling them all just how it is. This is one man that had me from the first page when he was high on the hill overlooking the land telling us his feeling on John, his daughters and the land.

The girl’s lives haven’t been any easier than Blake’s has been. Losing a father they don’t really remember and a mother so soon after they have moved being left to two very unkind people to raise them they just want to be done with it all. They are looking forward to their arrival and all that it may bring in hopes for a better life.  Each girl is unique it was fun getting to know them and watching them try to fit in and learn the ways of the land. They have a big choice to make, stay or go and learn more about the father that so many lies has been told.

Belle is headstrong but also kind hearted she gives a lot to those she cares about. She is strong and looks out for her family. Trust isn’t something any of the sisters gives easy they have reason not to. As Belle gets to know Blake she finds a man she can look up to, she loves the stories he tells of her father. She looks forward to their time together talking and listening. She has a lot of choices to make there is one left at home that she is close to but what about these new feeling for Blake.

I really enjoyed the twist and turns and the surprises the author throws our way. It is intriguing filled with danger of the unknown.  Not everyone is happy that the girls are there and someone wants them gone. As the danger builds love blossoms not only between people but the love of the land. The author has a way of writing a story that pulls you in, painting a scene that is easy to picture. I have been like Blake setting on a horse on top of the world looking out as far as you can see taking in the beauty that lay before me. It was so easy to relate to him and so easy to picture the things he saw.  I thought of my own son that has the same name, Blake became my Blake which made him even more endear to me. I was held spellbound by the heartbreak, tears, sorrow, smiles and surprises they were so real to me I felt I could just about each out and touch the characters. They became my friend, my family, I took on their pain, when their heart broke so did mine. My hats off to the author for bring such a realistic story that holds you spellbound keeping you on the edge from danger to surprises that you feel all the way to your toes. This is a big win for me I can hardly wait until the next one comes out to find out what is in store for me.  If you want a true delightful pleasure pick up the audio Ms. Fyffe audio’s are a wonderful I am so looking forward to listening to this.
