This is a cute read I had to chuckle when Joseph went to pick up the minister cousin and found out he was a she. I had a blast picturing in my mind the look on his face. Joseph has spent his life helping others giving so much of his self. He had an accident that the author gives such vivid details I felt a chill go up my spine. My mind just doesn’t wrap around what that must have been like, not knowing if you would live, deciding if you should cut off a body part. He lost his faith in God that day and just hasn’t been able to find it. This is a very emotional and spiritual read that really touched my heart. Monti words keep going through my mind be the man God made you to be not what you think you should be. No truer words have been written. It’s a story about looking past your disabilities or the ones you think you have learning to accept who you are, knowing you are no less of a person no matter what you have been though. The story is built around lost in so many ways, to finding yourself, there is danger, excitement, romance, and so much more.

Ms. Woodworth’s narration with her soft sweet voice really brought this story to life. She made me feel each lose, sorrow and pain. Her character voices are outstanding her female so soft but strong, her male strong but weak, both caring and loving. You can hear the pain, sorrow, anger, hurt along with excitement, danger and thrills. I had no trouble picturing the events as they unfold. This was one audio she held me in the palm of her hand with true emotion that each character was going through. I was so invested I forgot I was listening and found things to do around the house to listen longer. Her tones are right on the mark keeping the listener on the edge as danger gets near. It was a thrilling, exciting listen. The danger is real, I felt like I was there with the characters. There are no volume changes, no background noise or any repeating of words. If any breaks were taken I could not tell. I had no trouble knowing who is talking and what they are feeling. Her character voices are just great as well as her normal voice is very pleasant and easy to listen to. You can feel the uneasiness of the characters as they work through the emotions of loss, facing the outcome and the heart break of the past. Ms. Woodworth’s has no trouble pulling of this very emotional listen that captivates you and holds your attention.

So far out of this series this one is my favorite. I think the author out did herself giving a very powerful message along with a very detailed story that kept me very entertained. There was a time or two when I think my heart stopped beating for a minute and others where I smiled and even wanted to cry at the true emotion that was written. This is so much more than a romance it is about faith, overcoming issues and finding what you want out of life and going for it. I loved the characters, how the story is laid out and the true meaning behind it. From start to finish I was hooked can't wait for the next one.

Summary
Joseph Malcom has spent his life protecting those in need, but now that his sister is safely settled with her new family in the Canadian Rockies, his help is no longer required. That is, until he’s asked to safely retrieve the priest’s cousin to help minister to the local Indian tribe. But his passenger is not at all who he expects.
After the death of her mother, Monti Bergeron has nothing to keep her in Montreal. While the prospect of ministering to the Indians out West is daunting, she looks forward to assisting her beloved cousin in his mission work. The life of a nun may be just what she needs to heal her grief, serving her Heavenly Father and fellow mankind, especially if no more pesky suitors are around to ask for her hand in marriage. But the man who’s been sent to guide her through the mountains might make her second-guess her plans before she even begins.
As Monti settles into her ministry, Joseph finds his wandering feet drawn back to the Indian camp. Monti’s focus on God is more unsettling than he’d like to admit. Add to that her beauty which tests his willpower at every turn, and she’s made it crystal clear she doesn’t want a husband. But when his determination to keep distance between them puts Monti in danger, protecting her might require something Joseph might not be able to give.

What a lovely Christian historical story written with such emotions you can feel the sorrow, pain as one woman runs for her life leaving behind a dead husband only taking with her an unborn child and her brother. The author does a great job with detail of showing us how the wilderness is wild and dangerous as the characters have one set back after another. Emma has been through so much losing everything she owns because her husband was not a good man, the towns people feels she must have been in on it when in truth she knew nothing. Her brother takes her on the run trying to outrun the law and the reward on her head. Her brother has a bad fall leaving him unable to take care of her or his self when a strange steps in helping them. They want him to be their guide, there is no way he will take another woman into the wilds, but he is given little choice with one expecting woman and a man who can’t help his self must less his sister. This was a very emotional roller-coaster ride that is well worth your time. A great read with true emotions and faith.

Ms. Woodworth’s really brought this story to live for me as she pulled me in using emotion filled with sorrow, anger, hurt and pain along with excitement, danger and thrills. I had no trouble picturing the events as they unfold. Her character voices are wonderful as she held me spellbound from each character that is hiding something. Her tones are right on the mark keeping the listener on the edge waiting for the next shoe to drop. There are no volume changes, no background noise or any repeating of words. If any breaks were taken I could not tell. Her male voices were just as good as her female voices, you have no trouble knowing who is talking and just what they are feeling. Her character voices are just great as well as her normal voice is very pleasant and easy to listen to. The narrator really pulls you into the mystery as the romance unfolds under danger and deceit. You can feel the uneasiness of the characters as they work through the emotions of loss, facing the outcome and the heart break of the past. Ms. Woodworth’s has no trouble pulling of this very emotional listen that captivates you and holds your attention.

I really enjoyed this story from the start, the author gives you a wonderful story that is vivid you can picture the details she gives in each scene. My heart went out to Emma taking on a journey of this kind can never be easy but to be carrying an unborn child dealing with all the issues that brings has got to be trying to say the least. The fear of not knowing when someone will catch up with you, taking you back for the reward, wondering if your child will make it to take it first breath and if it does will it have a mother. Joseph story is just as heartbreaking he has lost so much and fears to lose even more as the love grows between him and Emma. I liked the plot, the characters, the mystery and how it all unfolds. The author knows how to pull on your heartstrings pulling you in keeping you hooked from the first page. The ending is wonderful I just about cried. The author gives a wonderful clean read with faith as the base and a growing romance coming in a close second.

A story about forgiveness not only of yourself but seeking it from others, an emotional listen with humor, danger, a few thrills, excitement and overcoming one's past. I chuckle, laughed and signed a few times. There is nothing worse than trying to make your family proud and doing everything you can for their approval why living in your siblings shadow as Aiden is. He is doing the best he can but it just doesn’t seem good enough. Telling his family he was leaving was hard but not as hard as trying to make enough money to help them and make them proud seems to be. One choice after another has him spending out of control. Every time he takes one step forward he falls back to. My heart really went out to him and all he has gone through. Jennie is following her sister and her husband leaving behind a dead father and a mother who can’t take care of them. The last place she wants to be is where she is and when Aiden comes all long that is just the last straw. How can one man be so full of his self? He is driving her nuts. With his teasing and bantering she can’t seem to do anything right. Why won’t he just go away? That is until he does, and she goes nuts over worry for him. This really was an exciting, fun read filled with drama, love, passion, compassion, troubles and sorrow.

Ms. Kelly does a great job with her narration, I loved her character voices and the emotions she gives them. I love her accents and the true emotions she gives her narration. She gave so much of her talent to this audio really getting into the characters. I could hear the pain, sorrow, confusion, love in her voice she truly brought this story to life. Her character voices are outstanding making you believe what you are listening to. You have no trouble picturing each scene as it unfolds. There are no repeating of words, no background, and no volume change but when the character goes in thought. Ms. Kelly has no trouble changing character roles the transition is smooth, easy with true passion, showing amazing chemistry between the characters. I always knew who was talking and what they were feeling. Her male characters are as wonderful as her female ones. You always know who is talking and what they are feeling. It is always a delight to listen to one of her audios.

The author brings a historical western to life with all the dangers it entitles keeping you on the edge of your seat at times. Filled with passion and clean fun with a well-thought-out plot that hooks you from the first page. It is a believable story with great characters, scenes and true love from family and friends. New love that grows with a few twists and turns to make it interesting. I loved how the family life is brought into it, showing how much love these families have for each other but at the same time how some can’t get along but with time things can be worked out. There is a story inside a story which holds your attention and makes you want to read about each sister. The twin I can’t wait to read her wild story I think it is going to be heartbreaking. The author does a great job building up for the next books in this series which kind of leaves you hanging but in no way is this a cliff hanger just a few unanswered question about the one twin. There is drama, doubt and so much sorrow it pulls on your heartstrings but at the same time there is fun, love and humor that makes you smile. Just as it was back then there is danger all around some you can see some you can’t and lots of twists and turns that keeps you hook. I truly loved this book and can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series when it comes out.

On the Fence

On the Fence
The Chance City series, Book 2

Length: 6 hrs and 22 mins

The story is based on issues as old as time of prejudice against a group of people because of the color of their skin. Indians have had a hard life with what people think they did from the past and base their beliefs on a bunch of bad apples. Not much has changed as we move forward just different groups that people hit hard. You would think people would learn not all groups are bad. I thought the author did a wonderful job of showing this in her story. It was a very touching read that really touches your heart. She brings to life a story that holds your attention with sorrow, anger with a wonderful twist of humor that had me laughing out loud.

Brock is attracted to Daphne (he won’t admit it) and she is so in love with him, but he is so blind to what they can have because she is Indian, and he is not. He does has his reasons from afar they are good at least he thinks they are. Plus there are people in his family that wouldn’t like the fact they would become a couple. Brock is a good man he lives for justices and does his duty to keep the town free of crime. As people push him one way and some the other he has to overcome many issues before he can find his HEA. Daphne is a lovely wonderful woman full of spirit who stands up for what she believes in. Sure there are other men who want her attention, but she can’t get over her feelings for the one man who doesn’t want her.

The narrator does a great job but at times is a little slow not pausing when he needs to and pausing before he should. As the audio takes you away and comes to life I didn’t notice it and was taken away by a great story. I thought he has improved with his female voices, but they still need a little work. His male voices are great as he pulls you in with some very sexy and deep ones but also some that are more childlike they really fit the characters. I had no trouble knowing who was talking or what they were feeling. He shows great emotions from sad, to humor as needed. I found no background noises or any volume changes, there are no repeating of words. If any breaks were taken I could not tell. I thought this was a great listen that really made me feel the characters emotions and was very easy to picture the scenes as they played out. It is a very clean and clear audio that I totally enjoyed.

The story is a wonderful delightful fun read that holds your attention with mystery, drama, anger, love, learning to overcome, romance and humor that makes you laugh. I truly loved the monkey he was so adorable and adds so much to this story. The author puts a lot in a small space of time which really pulls the reader in. I love that there is no filler and the story does not drag on. It is to the point but filled with so much going on that you are hanging on the edge at times. The characters are great, there are some very touching scenes with supporting characters. I truly felt like this town was my home with wonderful friends and neighbors I just wanted to move there. The author writes about some very touchy issues as she brings to life the true facts on how Indians were dealt with and how they overcome some of them. I thought this was such a touching read with wonderful characters and I didn’t want the story to end. I truly loved every scene that the author bought alive making it so easy to picture things as they happened in my mind. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
