The Boys Club

The Boys Club
by Angie Martin

The author gives you a highly entertaining read that hooks you from the first page until the last. It is packed with action adventure, suspense, betrayal, double-dealing, mystery and twists and turns you won’t see coming. I believe in rules and law but I also believe, sometimes you need to push that line and go outside the box to find justice. The author gives you such thrilling read of danger, justices with an organization led by a former FBI agent who push the lines. They get the job done when others have to stay inside the lines. Logan has his own goals in life, he will find and kill the man who killed his wife. Logan’s mission is to save Sara, her life isn’t going very well, if her father isn’t controlling her than her soon to be husband is. I thought I forgot to say her father is the man he wants to take out and the man Sarah is the most in danger with.

Sarah doesn’t know it but today is her lucky day as Logan puts his plan into action and kidnaps her. He must convince her he is the good guy and make her trust him. I loved the romance, the characters, it really is exciting and thrilling ride, you have a little bit of everything The author gives vivid details that pulls you leaving you hanging on the edge, turning the pages having to know what is going to happen next. Lord what a ride and I loved every minute of it. I was so invested I read it at one setting and didn’t want it to end.

Summary
Growing up a homeless juvenile delinquent left its mark on Gabriel Logan. He lived a throwaway existence until a former FBI agent recruited him for a fringe organization for boys like him, ones who could operate outside the law for the sake of justice. As an adult, he sets an example for the others and is slated to take over their group, until his work results in the murder of his pregnant wife.

Going through the motions of everyday life, Logan does only what’s required of him with one goal in mind: kill Hugh Langston, the man responsible for his wife’s death. When he’s handed the opportunity to bring Langston down, he jumps at the chance, but the job will challenge him more than anything in the past. Not only does he have to save Langston’s daughter from her father’s hit list, but the job seems to have come to them a little too easily. Lights Out

Lights Out
by Melissa Groeling

WOW I don’t even know where to start it is well written but does have child prostitution and violence which some may have some issues with but in my book it is well worth the time to pickup and read. It is a story that is going to stick with you for some time to come. It isn’t one you want to read before going to bed at night or you might have to leave the lights on. What a sorrow, touching, heartbreaking read that will send goose bumps down your spine, it is a read that really touched me deeply. The author gives a chilling, compelling story that hooks you from the start with a story you can’t put down. Action packed, suspenseful read that pulls you in from the start it was a story I had to read and stayed up late to finish it. I have no trouble seeing this in the headlines in today’s world with some of the sick people we live with it isn’t hard to say this is a believable story.

Paul has been where these victims have been now he has moved up to hit-man but things aren’t setting very well for him. His boss is a psycho who he really dislikes, and he wants out but things don’t every go that easy in the crime world. Aaron decided Paul needs a gift of a young boy, they don’t see things the same way which leave Paul and the boy on the run. Paul will protect this young boy no matter what. Now it is a race against time both Aaron and Paul plan on coming out the winner but there will only be one. The book summary does not do this book justice there is so much more going on some of it will make you feel sick and leave your mouth hung open. It is a very intents read that will have you on the edge. Even as I closed the book the story has stuck with me for days. I had to take a little time to think it over and still my review won’t do it justice. The author gives you a well written story that holds your attention from the first page until the last with a surprising ending. You will be kept guessing to the outcome as she twists and turns you until your head spins, when you think it can’t get worse it does. Be prepare to be shock, mouth open, heart breaking fast as you fall in love with the characters and really dislike that many more. It will be a story that I will reread for years to come, it isn’t a story for the faint of heart. It will be a story that holds you spellbound with the complex story line and the characters. The hunt is on and the killer is running to keep them both safe. Will you dare to come take the journey that will leave you shocked, chilled and horrified? Come if you dare but you have been warned, take a seat for a wild thrilling chilling ride of your life.

Remember With Me

Remember With Me (Magical Love Series Book 3)
by Dixie Painter

I have really wanted to read this and was so excited to pick it up and get started. What could be worse than having your one and only true love die knowing she is coming back as another person and you must find her? Talk about presser what if someone added a curse and you have to find her and make her believe she is reincarnated and is truly your wife for the curse of immortality to be broken wow now that is presser. I can’t help but wonder at all those that who have lost their one and only not knowing if they will ever see them again only believing after death they will, what if they had this second chance which would be one in a million chance they would find them if there is really reincarnation. For me that made the story it blows my mind. As I pick this story up I held on to that thought and let the author take me to another place in time where it is real.

I loved the mystery, danger and the romance. I thought this was an outstanding read that I plan to read again. It was a story I couldn’t put down and had to keep turning the pages to see Jo was the long-lost wife many years past. I loved the plot it was mind-blowing and had me hooked from the start, it was well written and gives new meaning to romance and lost love. The buildup of the romance was great, the chemistry is powerful, the characters delightful. It was a fast pace adventure filled with suspense, mystery and humor. I laughed, chuckled my way through it along with a few heart stopping moments for me. There was nothing I didn’t like about this story. The author pulled me in and didn’t let me go. I can’t wait to read more of her work.

Waking the Bear

Waking the Bear (Shifter Wars #1)
by Kerry Adrienne

I thought this was a cute read with some likable characters and some that still need to grow up. Some things they say or happens just does not work for me. Being a park ranger how can you do your job and still hibernate? I really didn’t care much for the cave of mystical powers that is just me and really doesn’t have anything to do with the story or plot. It is a story about revenge getting even not about what really happened and finding the truth. there is danger, romance, learning and starting over. I liked Griff he is a bear shifter and meets everything I think one should be strong, deadly, caring, and he has lots of emotions. Amy is the true winner here for my affection she is strong and has been through a lot. Deciding to take some time off to get her life back on track she isn’t interested in another relationship. There is no doubt the attraction between these two is strong from the start but with danger near Griff isn’t sure he is ready to move on that just yet. Yes she is his mate and yes there are things she needs to learn but right now isn’t a good time.

I really like how the author builds up their relationship slow and easy. How shy and very cute they are, I loved how Griff gives her space being a true gentleman and pacing his self. I have no trouble buying into their relationship or even how he tells her the woods are dangerous and not to go alone. Of course being a strong woman she doesn’t listen, I most likely would not have even. Of course all woods are dangerous but that hasn’t stopped me yet. I do think Griff could have some up with something a little more meaningful to make her understand the danger but than there wouldn’t have been a kidnapping. Just not sure this worked for me.

Bottom line I love the characters for the most part, the chemistry was great, the plot was good, I just have a few little issues but I did enjoy the read and would try this author again.

All She Ever Wanted

All She Ever Wanted (Cedar Valley #1)
by Christina Butrum

There is nothing like loving someone so much you can’t forget them, they are there in your mind every day of your life and you can’t let go, than you run into them face to face after so many years, the feelings are still there at least for you. That is what happens to Leah ten years later when she goes home for her school reunion. She cannot get over her ex, she can’t move on and start a new life, make a family of her own until Leah can let go of the past. Now she must make choices and rethink how she feels and what she wants out of life. She isn’t sure she wants to jump the bridge it hurt so much last time, love isn’t something she has won at.

The story has a great plot with wonderful characters, at times it moves a little fast and other times the fit is just right. I think at some point all of us has cross the bridge to a point, so it was easy to relate to this story at least for me. I really loved the characters, Rachel is someone I would love to have in my life, as BFF she is the best. Liam's grandfather stole my heart he is just a wonderful character.Liam is a dream and if Leah doesn't take him I will....

Liam and Leah are meant to be and it shows in the thought given to this story. They are prefect and makes us believe true love is out there for everyone, just sometimes it might take a little while. The author gives a wonderful message with a plot you get lost in. I wish a little more detail was given in some areas but I really did enjoy what I have read and can’t wait to read more of this series.
