This was a fun touching read that is heartbreaking as well as emotional.  I really liked that past characters play a part in this story. They can’t hit a redo button but they do get the chance to make a wrong a right. I also like the fact that they travel but do have a chance to go back if they want to. There are so very serious issue the author writes about and does it with style and class. A truly enjoyable listen.

Mr. Roberts narration was lovely right down to his sexy male voices. He has a very smooth deep voice that really makes his males come alive and at times downright sexy. There were no background noises, no repeating of words, no volume changes just a smooth clean listen. His female voices fit the characters giving them a tone that really plays out the characters. He really made this audio come alive with his emotions, dryness, compassion showing how each character truly feels and the pain they are in. If any breaks were taken I could not tell, he delivers a smooth, exciting listen with meaning that pulls the listener in giving a compelling listen that feels like it is happening before your very eyes.

I liked how the authors in each of the books in this series tie in, in the same way how the time travel takes place. There we have one character that thinks the time travel lady is nuts and the other character who is buying into it since her ex talked in a way that was confusing but now seem very clear.  She plans on taking his place for more than one reason. She wants to undo the wrong she did and to be taken to a place where no one can find her and she can die in peace.  (you will have to read to find out the why of it) When they both get taken back both are very shocked but not as much as they are to the outcome and the mess they find their selves in.  Part of this was cute and fun but the other part is very serious. Scott does meet a man that could be his relative and will play a big part in his life and future.  It is a clean read with some very serious issues that the author writes in a lovely way leading the characters to not only help their selves but others as well. The romance is wonderful kind of hits them when they are less expecting it. I liked the characters and their stories. The plot is great and getting to see some past characters was delightful.  It is a short listen but well worth the time and money. No fillers makes this a win for me. I am looking very much to the next book in this series.

Summary
This is book eight in the Timeless Hearts multi-author western time travel romance series.
Lies. They seemed like the best solution at the time. Amber Milligan has the answer to all of her problems, but only one person knows the truth. Picking up a stranded biker along the way wasn't part of the plan, but the annoying stranger may get in the way and undo everything.
The future everyone else has charted for Scott Kincaid does not include his own goals or desires. Being from an affluent family affords him the freedom he craves and the adventures he seeks. Getting thrown into the past with a stubborn, pessimistic beauty may well be the most extreme undertaking of his life.
Despite the external dangers of the environment, Scott and Amber must fight the greater struggles within themselves. As they look for a way to get back to their proper time, the wilderness teaches them that their perspectives of life, and attitudes about love, may hold the key to their survival and future happiness.
Contains mild language, mild violence, and kissing. Rated PG/ one to two on a heat scale of five.
