What a truly wonderful emotional read that really grabs you
and doesn’t let you go. It is a heartbreaking story of a family dealing the
best way they know how when Lauren father gets Alzheimer's. A story about
finding yourself and what you want to do with your life after making so many
mistakes. I really loved how this story is put together pulling on your heartstrings
why making you smile. I got such a kick out of the items she has in her vintage
clothing store, they gave me many laughs throughout the story. Each book in
this series keeps getting better and better I have trouble waiting to pick up
the next one. When Lauren and Nate met up with friends both find they are
attracted to each other. Both have past issues and relationships that bring
them home. When Lauren is setting up on a date by her mother with a man that is
less than desirable Nate comes to her rescuer. In his past he has come off as
stuffy and then there is the youtube video which leaves him less than pleasing.
Ms. Robins narration was outstanding from her many different
character voices to the emotions she gives them. She does bring this story to
life giving you lots of laughs and chuckles along with some sad and trying
times. There are no repeats of wording or any volume changes, if any breaks were
taken I could not tell. This is a very clear audio that you will get lost in. Her
female voices are just as good as her male ones you always know just what they
are feeling and going through. She has no trouble carrying off her deep male
voices giving just the right tone to them. I found her characters voices and
tones to fit each character to a T. I really could hear the pain, sorrow,
happiness, confusion and thrills in each characters voice. The narrator’s performance
was outstanding giving a very realistic feel to the audio. There were times I
laughed very hard and other times I was almost brought to tears. This is the
first I have listened to this narrator and cannot wait to listen to more of her
work.
The author brings you a delightful well written story that at
times is very painful it is a wonderful story that unfolds with humor, passion
where you might not think there would be. I found it to be very realistic and
believable with characters that are down to earth every day people with the
same issues we all have. It is wonderful to see how their lives entwine with
all the people in town and their families. I just love this town and its
people. I liked how Lauren found her way to her dream business as well as the
conflict between her and Nate. The ways these two come together was very
natural and enjoyable. Nate’s girlfriend is something else which will leave you
with your mouth hung open at the things that come out of her mouth. I just fell
in love with Lauren’s family from her very busy body mother to her delightful
warm and loving father. Nate’s family is wonderful with their warm humor to the
way they take him in hand and metal in his life. The story has soul, with
wonderful meaning, so many people will be able to relate to it in so many
different ways. I fell in love with the plot, the characters from the first
page all the way to the last. You will find many hours of enjoyment with a book
you will have a hard time putting down. Ms. Geraci fits a lot into the read
never leaving the reader behind. It was written in a way that you can relate
and understand all the issues why you chuckle. What a delightful cute read that
I am sure you will love as much as I have. I have read and also listened to the
audio, both are wonderful but I have to say I enjoyed the audio more. The
narrator fits so well with this story and really brings it to life.
I really recommend this delightful heartwarming romance. It
is so wonderful I picked it as one of my favorite reads for 2017.

Summary
Lauren Donalan was once Whispering Bay’s golden girl—the
rich, bubbly blonde cheerleader who married the high school football star. When
her mediocre marriage falls apart, she returns home and starts a vintage
clothing business, determined to prove she’s more than just a pretty face with
a trust fund.
Nate Miller may have been a nerd in high school, but now he has a beautiful girlfriend and is set to take over Doc Morrison’s medical practice. Still, the good folks of Whispering Bay find his no-nonsense approach more than a little unsettling, leaving his future in town a great big question mark. And things go even further downhill when his well-intentioned marriage proposal goes awry.
Lauren doesn’t need a man to complete her, yet when she finds herself set up on a date with Nate, she can’t help but notice how sexy and confident he is. In fact, every time the former introvert kisses her, she sees fireworks. But, only a big love will make Lauren change her mind about commitment. As Nate attempts to win Lauren over, a real estate co-op threatens Lauren’s business—and Nate’s ex still has a thing or two to say about their previous relationship. Now Lauren has to decide to go big or go home, in business, as well as in love.
