The author gives three short stories where all roads lead to the end of life. There are interesting, unique and enjoyable. I wouldn’t say they are scary but on the darkside, they do make you rethink what you buy and how you deal with issues.

The narrator did a great job there are a few little issues at the start where he pauses and should not have. I thought he character voices were great, he shows good emotions. You always know who is talking and what they are feeling.  There are no volume changes, if any breaks were taken I could not tell. I found no background noises, just clean and clear audio. The narrator’s normal voice is just as pleasant as his character voices. He really bought the stories to life giving a good listen.

Recalculating: Maggie loves garage sales along with steals and deals, some just aren’t worth the cost. I will never look at another garage sale the same.

Sweet Lenora: is about a mother who wants control and her daughter to act like a lady. She will get more of a lesson then she wants.

Donations: Clarissa has a secret admirer who doesn’t have her best interest at heart. Here the is a story inside a story but they both meet in the end with a twists end.

I thought the stories were a little short and needed more information. The way of it all is a little confusing. I wanted a little more background so it would have been easier to have understood the reasoning behind each. Beside that it was a great listen.

I did not find this story believable at all due to the abuse Charlotte watched her mother go through and how the author tried to put BSM into the story. I just do not see a woman who is a virgin  who has went through what she has looking so sweetly at an over powering male and say yes please spank me. Yes I think I would enjoy that. Oh yes punish me. I honestly had a hard time getting through this audio with her being so wishy washy hating him one minute and running in his arms the next. With all that was going on their plans to marry was too fast for this story line.

Mr. Solin narration was pretty good, there were times he is lacking emotions and other times he hits it right on the money. At times I thought his voice was a little flat and other times I thought it fit the story line. I think if he would have chuckled etc as the characters did it would have been better. I could hear him swallow at times maybe a pause should have been taken, I am unsure how narrator deal with this issue. I thought his character voices were really good, you knew who was talking. I hear no background noise or any volume changes. There were no repeats of working. It was a very clear audio. If any breaks were taken I could not tell. For the most part I thought this was a good narration and with some work Mr. Solin will do wonderful in this field.

I am sorry but there isn’t much else to say. The author had me until she brought the spankings into the story and she totally lost me. It just didn’t fit this story line.

Summary

My Review

This is a very short and sweet listen. There is nothing more I can tell you that the author doesn’t have in the book summary. Anymore and it would give the whole book away. I will say this it is a nice way to get a little taste of the author writing style.

Mr. Russell did a wonderful job of narration which a delightful voice that you have no trouble getting lost in. There are no background noises or any places where the audio volume is higher or lower than the rest of the book. He gives you delightful characters that you have no trouble knowing who is talking or what their feelings are. His voice tones gives you all you need to know on what each character is thinking or feeling. I enjoyed his male and female voices. Again it was a nice taste of what this narrator can do to get you invested in other books he has narrated.

I really enjoyed this authors writing style. However just as you were really getting into the story the story ends with you hanging on. I would have loved to have known how this story finishes and just what happens to both of their careers.  I am unsure if this is just a prologue and another book is going to be published with the rest of the story.  I thought the characters where good and the way the scenes play out you have no doubt this is going to be a mess no matter how the author takes it. I have to feel for each one of them and hope for the best and whatever decisions they might make the fall out isn’t too bad. It was a nice taste which I do hope I will get to know the outcome in a full book. I look forward to more from this author.
