Summer Bite

Summer Bite (Macconwood Pack)
by C.D. Gorri

My heart is always sucked in when it comes to second chance romance, there is nothing like getting another chance at the one person who really sucks you in never letting you go. Life may go on but that person is never far from your thoughts leaving you always wondering what if.... A short sweet romance full of passion where the author never misses a beat pulling you breaking your heart at the misunderstandings lost and then gives them a second chance that keeps you in awe.

It is a very touching story of secrets so many have been kept along with a few lies. When Abrigail father dies she comes home facing facts she cannot over look. He is the reason she left so many years ago without a word, leaving behind the one man she loves more than anything. With her return secrets come out on both sides it seems Mason has a few of his own.

I thought this was well written with a great plot, it was very easy to follow and get lost between these pages. I loved the characters they became my friends as they broke my heart through what they had to deal with and put it back together as they worked out the issues. It was a great read that I truly enjoyed.

She is sure this is a sign for her to get way and start a new life hopefully finding some happiness. Things do not always go as we plan Emily will have many ups and downs before she can find the true happiness she seeks.

Daniel has his hands full on meeting the stage he does not find the lady he has been writing to but a new lady he has never seen before. He isn’t happy but decided to take some time to work this out. He can’t leave her to fend for herself. Time will give all the answers he will need.

This is a lovely read that the author put a lot of time and thought into. It flows easy and keeps you invested as the author takes you through some trying times. Before you know it you are through wishing you had more to read. I love the mail order bride time in history it was a time when many had little choices. This is an author who knows how to spin the tale to pull her readers in giving you a very entertaining read. I really enjoy the author and look forward to reading more from her.
