This is short sweet with no fillers, some parts are left out but it is enough there for you to work it out for the most part. I guess this is one way for a victim to get justices. It is a mixture of the after effects and revisiting things as they happen.

Paul is so sure Terri is his girlfriend that he stalks her at work, home and everywhere in between. There are parts that are a little confusing which I can’t talk about but they work their selves out at the end. There are places you will think what, are you crazy and why are you doing that. Again this will work it’s self out. I had most of this worked out but the ending still took me by surprise.

Mr. Gregory I thought did a good job of narration. The parts where he read out of character he sounded a little robotic. When he gets into the characters he does put lot of emotion into the character. There is a little change in character voices but a lot of them are close to others. I had no trouble but for a few times working out who was talking. There are neither volume changes nor any background noises. If any breaks were taken I could not tell.  I have not listen to anything by this narrator and with a little work I think he could be a wonderful one. I do have to say he has a pleasant voice one that did pull me in and had me hook as to who what and why. He made it interesting when things didn’t make sense and I did enjoy it very much.

The plot is good, a little confusing but good. You should be able to work it out but you may want to pay attention or you will be lost. I think a little more information should have been given. I would have liked to have known if the police worked it all out and just what triggered Paul’s ending, we do know what happen to him but I am unsure as to they why. I did enjoy it very much, for a debut story it isn’t bad at all. If it was a little longer with more information as to why his ex left him along with the above questions this could be a wonderful heart stopping read. I enjoyed it, feel it is worth a 3.5 star rounding it up to 4 stars. The title I feel fits the story to a T, when things get bad it is time to get out (not sure how they got bad), I am pretty sure Paul was a nut case from the start. I am unsure what attracted her to him but my heart went out to both his ex and Terri. A good read that for the most part keeps you guessing.

Summary

One women who gives up so much for her family but I do not think they really give her the credit she should have. I did have a hard time getting into this it might be because I had not read the book before. It was a very interesting plot with normal family drama. What really made it for me was the narrator she really adds a lot to this audio.

Ms. Peterson voice fit so well to this story she really brings out the characters with real emotions and feelings. She has such a smooth rich voice you forget you are listening and really get into the plot. Her female’s voices are just as great as her male voice. I could listen to her voice all day and not get tired of it. I just love her accent it really pulls you as it complements the plot setting. There are no repeat of works, no change in volume. If any breaks were taken I could not tell. The audio is clean, crisp and clear giving you a totally enjoyable listen. You have no trouble knowing who is talking and what they are feeling. Ms. Peterson has a powerful voice that deliverers and wonderful audio. This is the second book of hers I have listen to and can’t wait to listen to more.

Holly has put her dreams on hold with the death of her mother giving all her time to her family. This is a normal family with normal issues and drama. I thought the girls were on the spoiled side never really thinking about Holly and all she does for them. I do like the slow buildup from friends to more with Holly and Fletcher. There are issues they will have to overcome if they plan to build a life together. I really liked Holly and how she put family first. There does come a time when you have to say enough and make your own way in life. Holly has some very tough choices.

The town was a very lovely town that makes the reader what to go for a visit. The author really put a lot of time and thought into building it and the characters in it. I thought it was an enjoyable read even though I had a hard time really getting into it.

You know that saying what you do know wouldn’t hurt you that apply to this story. I think Angel is better off not knowing the truth. There are many secrets that go deep and back many years. For years it has torn one man and a family apart leaving them broken, filled with sorrow and so much pain. You think you know what is going on but the author throws some major twist on this that will break your heart as you watch Angel go through the steps of finding out what really happened to her mother.

Ms. Roberts’s narration as always is outstanding. She has a way that really pulls the listener in giving you an audio that keeps you hanging on the edge. Her natural voice is just as pleasant as her character voices. Her males are strong, bold and at times broken men that you love as you feel their pain. Her female voices are very natural from her very young to the very old. She puts so much passion and emotion into them you get lost in the story. There are neither background noises nor any volume changes. There is no repeat of words just a clear, clean and crisp audio. Ms. Roberts’s puts so much emotion into her audio’s you never have trouble knowing who is talking or what they are feeling. When their heart breaks yours breaks right along with it. This is a very emotion and powerful story that Ms. Roberts’s has no trouble pulling off.  If any breaks were taken I could not tell. This is one of my favorite narrators when I see her name I know I am in for a treat.

I have mixed emotions over this plot it was good, interesting and pulls you in. There is no doubt your heart will break as does Angel’s and her family. I thought the writing style was great, I can’t put my finger on it but something was just a little off for me. I felt so much pain for Angel’s father he gave his all but it just didn’t seem good enough. He was always there her first but when it was time for him to find his own life things didn’t go so well. I have mixed emotions for his girlfriend I just couldn’t get a handle on her. She went from wicked step mother to someone you could relate to but she was just so wishy washy. Angel at times comes off as a spoiled brat. There were characters I really liked and some not so much. I never really understood why her mother’s family felt the way they did. All in all it was a good read I did enjoy it but it just didn’t come together well for me. I think it is well worth a 4 star the author does pull you in giving you many twists and turns you won’t see coming. Give it a try I thought it was worth my time.

A Soldier’s Vow has a little bit of everything from finding love from afar, jealousy, pain, sorrow, death, fun, at times humor, love, lose, starting over, sadness as the author spins a story of fighting, dying and the pain it brings with it. You will have your heart ripped out only to have it thrown back at you as you turn the pages waiting to see what twist the author gives you next. I really enjoyed the story and thought the plot was wonderful. This is one story you will not be able to get through without it touching your heart and soul from so many different angles.

Ms. Kahn really needs to get some type of filter. Her narration is wonderful but there is a bad echo throughout the audio. Her character voices are great, she puts emotion in her audio’s. Her voices are very pleasant from her normal voice to her character voices. Her male voices are wonderful, her children voices are a delight and her women ones are delightful. There is no background noise but for the echo. There are a few places where she repeats wording. The volume stays the same throughout. You always know who is talking and what they are feeling. I really had no trouble picturing the scenes from the battles to the love these two share as well as the pain from the lose of friends and love ones. I did very much enjoy the audio and most likely will listen to it again. The narrator must really work on her sound system and get rid of the echo which does take away from it.

Winnie decided to do what she loved best and went to Paris to do her part by sharing pictures of the war from the good and bad side. Being a woman in this time period it was hard for a woman to take on a job such as this. They didn’t want her near the front line. Over time she got what she wanted and met the love of her life. This is a very hard time for her setting on pins and needles waiting to see if Henry would make it out alive so they can start their family and love each other until the end of time.

Henry wasn’t very nice at first but overtime he came to understand what drove Winnie. He has lost so many friends. Winnie was good for him in her he found a soul mate that really pulled him out and took away the nightmares of the things he saw. She might not have been there in body but her soul got him through some very tough times.

There are so many wonderful characters and some not so nice. The author gives you a well blended mixture of drama, happiness, sorrow and pain as she pulls you in with her humor. There will come a time when you will just want to cry at the injustice done to this couple from those around them. To really tell any part of this story would give too much of the plot away. I promise you will be very entertained but you best have a tissue ready just in case you need it.  My heart broke and went out to this couple more than once. I did laugh with them as I wrapped my heart around their soul trying to bring them peace. What a wonderful story that really pulls you in. I had trouble putting it down. It is well written with such passion. I am really looking forward to reading more of her work.
