My Review
I love second chance stories this one not all things were as they seemed. Not the right questions were asked leaving two people heartbroken. One man goes to jail leaving a whole town in an uproar. Erin was doing her job found the guilty and put him behind bars. Time past with a whole town hating her than the unthinkable happens more women are rape and end up dead with the same MO did she put the wrong man behind bars leaving the killer free to kill again? FBI Darsh is sent in to make sure any wrongs are made right as well as to see if Erin might have jumped the gun putting the wrong man in prison.

I love the suspense and intrigue of the story along with their past one nightstand leaving misunderstandings and an almost a hate but still attracted to each other. The killer will keep you guessing as your heart breaks for the women killed by a sick man. This killer is no dummy he has out smarted us all and got away with it, just maybe he will think he is to smart and make a mistake leaving the jailed free and him behind bars or could this be a totally another crime maybe a copycat?

Mr. Dove as always does a wonderful job of narration giving you the emotions and facts that bring this story to life. There are no background noises or any place where the volume was higher or lower what he gives you is a wonderful smooth listen you get lost in. If any breaks were taken you could not tell. His male and female voices slide right off his tongue you never are left guessing who is speaking or what their feelings are. You can feel the heartbreak and the anger of those that feel and injustice was done as well how each main character feels. He gives you likeable voices with an audio you won’t want to put down.

I love the characters it was so nice to go back a see some that you have gotten to know. The suspense is wonderful leaving you guessing and as normal you are wrong. This one took me awhile to work out. I love the attraction between the characters and the pull at the heart with their past. Erin past is one you can relate to as the author put the words to the page she grabs your heart but does it in a style you can relate to and with class. The plot is wonderful leaving you in suspense as you can see it happening in your mind. This is a college town where young man are looking for action some taking what they want even when the answer might be no. This was a wonderful addition to the series with wonderful narration. I can’t wait for the next one in the series.

Lone Star Nights:

Lone Star Nights: Cowboy Trouble Bonus (The McCord Brothers #2)
by Delores Fossen

 My Review
I fell in love with this author from the first book I picked up of hers nothing has changed she is still writing the best books with wonderful touching plots which pull you in making you smile, laugh and at times gives you watery eyes. There is such passion in her writing with wonderful characters you can relate to. I just adore Dixie Mae with her hard core attitude but has a heart of gold she keeps well hidden.  She is one smart who will leave you laughing all the way to the end where you will find a big surprised that will make you laugh out loud for a while.

Lucky’s past has haunted him for years it is one of the reason he does what he does. He is kind of a standalone character with a love them and leave them attitude. Everyone in his family has their place with him feeling lost and sometimes alone. Dixie Mae has always been a type of mother to him, maybe a little rough around the edges but a mother type the same. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for her. Her last request has him cursing all the way but he will do as she ask, doesn’t mean he will like it or not try to find a way out of it.

Cassie is running away from her own reasons life isn’t all flowers for her. With things out of her control that has her second guessing her actions along with a father who never was one she looks to Dixie Mae for the love she never had from him. There isn’t anything she wouldn’t do for this women when her last request is placed before her she is shocked and using the F-word more than she should which is very cute with little ones around she tries her best to clean up the language which with Lucky might take some doing.

Both Lucky and Cassie are attracted to each other Cassie just never gave in she won’t be another notch on his bed post. Dixie Mae may know more than she ever let on with two children they will have to take care of. Neither are parent material and do not have the first clue since they can’t even take care of themselves.  I really love the way the pull and tug goes on with them. The children are just darling even the older one will steal your heart as it breaks for them and all they have to deal with.  The author gives you a strong understanding of a child who is trying to find her way and going about it the wrong way. This is very emotional but at the same time very down to earth leaving you smiling at the same time pulling on her heart.

This author will pull on your heartstrings as she gives you a read you won’t be able to put down. There are times when you will say please no and other times where you will be cheering with an ending you will adore leaving you wanting more. I can hardly wait for the next book in this series.  This is a standalone you don’t need to read the first book but I am sure you will want to as it is full of fun and laughter as well as heartbreak. This is a very well blended story that will hook you with true romance with a twist.

Broken Dreams (Shattered Lives #1)

My Review

This was a story that I really enjoyed it had a slow confusing start but it wasn’t long before it all came together. It has an interesting story line that will hold your interest giving back details as needed. The characters are very likeable you really find yourself invested in them and the story as the wedding takes place and falls apart when life as everyone knows it changes leaving people in shock and running for their lives. The fight for survival takes off giving you a page turner.

From the first page Daniel grabs your heart at all he had to go through and his fight for freedom from the program. Elaina I really liked her attitude and sassy ways never taking things at face value she was a strong character. There were other characters I liked and some I didn’t a few I found a little confusing but for the most part I enjoyed them.

The only issues I have with this story was way too long with information that is not needed. It is nice to read some about their past but a lot is just too much and takes away from the story along with too much filler you do not need to know every detail and a few were repeated side beside. I just wanted to get on with the story and see how things were going to go.

The author gives you an interesting read filled with gore, action along with a ton of drama and romance. This is a story that I think most will enjoy even if you do not care for this kind of read. If you are into this genre it is a book you do not want to miss you will love it. I found it very enjoyable but too long. For me it was worth the read.

Montana Sky: Kissed By A Stranger

Montana Sky: Kissed By A Stranger (Kindle Worlds Novella)
by Cynthia Woolf

My Review
What a delightful heartwarming read that warms you all the way to your bones. Ms. Woolf brings danger to the west with a little suspense in this wonderful town called Morgan’s Crossing. Laura has been a widow for a year when her mother in law kicks her out with nothing. With nowhere to go she turns to her aunt who in turn sends her to Montana to work for her cousin. Along the way they meet a stranger and the story takes off. There is no better name that fits the story than Kissed By A Stranger.

When Laura and Bill first meet there is an attraction. Bill spends his time fighting this which leaves Laura confused. Josie Laura’s little girl is a wonderful delight who will keep you smiling and at times laughing. You will get to catch up on some of your favorite characters from the Montana Sky Series as Ms. Woolf spins a story that goes right into the heart of this series. She gives you a delightful plot with characters you will love. Your heart will break at all Laura has to go through as Josie steals it with her witty humorous way. Bill is a little tough to like at first but he has his reason his life hasn’t been so easy either. When a threat from the past comes to town this town pulls together as Laura and Bill grow to the next step in their relationship to save someone dear to the both.

This has a delightful plot that will give you tons of smiles with wonderful characters you can relate you. They will seem like family and this town you will want to call your own. If you are looking for a short sweet wonderful read that you won’t be able to put down this is the one for you.
